With all of that out of the way, there is one last step to making a podcast. (Editor here. I forgot to mention recording the podcast here because there is another article on that alone.) Putting your podcast out into the world is the most important step, as if you don’t, what was the point of making it? Now, I’m not going to walk you through uploading it step by step, as there are probably plenty of YouTube tutorials on it and I haven’t the foggiest idea on how it works. However, I will recommend platforms to go to. The obvious one is Spotify, as it’s the most popular (actually, Apple Podcasts is bigger) and well known, as well as home to some of the big podcasts, but I’d also like to recommend a few smaller platforms like Overcast and Pocket Casts as they often have better user experiences and there will be less podcasts there, so yours will stand out. As you will see in the interviews, Mike Pesca uses Pocket Casts so he can listen at 2.3x speed and cut out spaces.
